Independents’ Day Festival

Independents’ Day Festival (501c3) existed for 10 years as a celebration of Independent arts, business and culture in Columbus, Ohio. Over it’s 10 years it showcased artists such as Soul Position, Cloud Nothings, House of Heroes, Rashad, Speedy Ortiz, Mix Master Ice, All Them Witches, Envelope, Mr. Dibbs, Phantods and more.

As Music Director for the final 3 years, I oversaw the booking and communication with all bands and performance groups for the festival, managed the music committee of over 30 volunteers and worked with community partners to build valuable new relationships + sponsorships and maintain current relationships. I negotiated, contracted and oversaw vendors responsible for staging and production. We now serve as a 501c3 board partnering with budding community festivals to serve as council.
